🌟 Wu Jun: A Master of Longquan Celadon 🌟

Craftsmanship and Origin

Wu Jun, courtesy name Chengyuan, was born in 1987 in Badou Town, Longquan City, Zhejiang. His family has a long tradition in Longquan celadon craftsmanship. He grew up in Shangyang, immersed in the artistic atmosphere of celadon-making. This early exposure laid the foundation for his future career.

Apprenticeship and Education

In 2006, Wu Jun became a disciple of Li Zhiming, grandson of Li Huaide, a celebrated Longquan celadon master. He received traditional training in glaze formulas and forming techniques. He graduated from Jingdezhen Ceramic University, majoring in Ceramic Art and Design. His education reinforced his expertise in celadon art.

Achievements and Recognition

Wu Jun is recognized as a Master of Arts and Crafts of Lishui City and a representative inheritor of intangible cultural heritage in Longquan City. He won the Gold Prize at the 2nd China (Shenzhen) International Tea Ware Design Competition in 2017. His work "Following Circle, Arriving at Square" was a standout.

Publications and Exhibitions

He authored papers on the formal language of Longquan celadon and the integration of cultural heritage and contemporary innovation. Wu Jun organized ceramic culture exchange exhibitions in Seoul and Madrid. His works are showcased in prestigious museums and guesthouses.

Wu Jun is a lifelong learner with a deep appreciation for classical literature and proficient in the four arts: qin, Go, calligraphy, and painting.
