Wu Jun: A Master of Longquan Celadon

 Name: Wu Jun (courtesy name: Chengyuan)
Born in 1987 in Badou Town, Longquan City, Zhejiang Province, Wu Jun comes from a long tradition of celadon craftsmanship. He grew up in Shangyang, immersed in the artistic atmosphere of celadon-making. His formal training began in 2006 under Li Zhiming, grandson of Li Huaide, a celebrated master.

Education and Recognition

📚 Wu Jun graduated from Jingdezhen Ceramic University, majoring in Ceramic Art and Design. He is recognized as a Master of Arts and Crafts of Lishui City and a representative inheritor of intangible cultural heritage in Longquan City. He is also a member of the Zhejiang Federation of Literary and Art Circles’ "New Heights in Visual Arts" initiative and the China Folk Artists Association.

Awards and Exhibitions

🏆 In 2017, Wu Jun won the Gold Prize at the 2nd China (Shenzhen) International Tea Ware Design Competition with his work "Following Circle, Arriving at Square." His piece "Ge" was acquired by the Zhejiang Provincial Museum, and a "String-Pattern Plum Vase" was collected by the Hangzhou West Lake State Guest House.

Cultural Exchange and Publications

🌍 In 2019, Wu Jun organized ceramic culture exchange exhibitions in Seoul, South Korea, and Madrid, Spain. He authored papers on the formal language of Longquan Celadon in contemporary contexts and on modern cultural and artistic communication of traditional Longquan Celadon.
