Hailed in the industry as a “Barrier-Breaker of the Celadon World”, Liao Xinliang’s work retains the classic characteristics of Longquan celadon—“green as jade, bright as a mirror, and resonant as a chime”—while expanding the frontiers of Eastern aesthetics through the bold lines of copper sculpture. As Japanese ceramic scholar Mikami Tsugio once described Longquan celadon: “Clear as the autumn sky, serene as the deep sea,” Liao’s innovations bring waves of modern vitality to this timeless hue.

His artistic career is a reflection of his creative mantra:
“Behind the material lies personality; what emerges is the dance of art.” Liao Xinliang
