Jin Hongyang, born in 2003, studied at the Celadon and Sword Design Technician Institute and Zhejiang Electromechanical Vocational Technical University. Her dedication to the craft began at age 15 under master potters.

Jin Hongyang holds a degree in product design from Zhejiang Electromechanical Vocational Technical University. She trained under her grandfather, Jin Pin, an heir of Longyao kilns in Baoxi. Her journey started as a child raised beside kilns, transforming into a lifelong devotion to mastering green-glazed ware. Her training included mountain clay selection, manual wheel-throwing, glaze mixing, and ceremonial firing. Jin Hongyang's skills are recognized globally, with her works featured in major media outlets.

In 2015, she joined her father, Jin Chaojun, in integrating homestay tourism, kilns, cultural study programs, and dining into a village-led economic revitalization model in Baoxi. Their model became a self-sustaining ecosystem leveraging craft heritage for community prosperity.

Upon returning home to launch her business, Jin Hongyang received coverage from CCTV, Zhejiang TV, Xinhua News Agency, and other prestigious media. She delivered entrepreneurship talks at her university and taught wheel-throwing and sculpture to foreign artists at Longquan’s Tao Xi Chuan art park. Jin Hongyang actively livestreams and markets wood-fired Longquan celadon on TikTok, advancing cultural export and rural revitalization. "Summer Lotus" was acquired by the China Cultural Center in Cairo in 2023. Jin Hongyang was appointed Youth Talent Ambassador by the Longquan Municipal Committee in 2023. She was named Zhejiang Provincial Outstanding Graduate & top work award at Zhejiang Electromechanical University in 2023.


International Recognition

In 2024, Jin Hongyang participated in Jiangxi TV’s Chinese Ceramics Gala, producing a perfect sphere for a Kazakh ophthalmologist named Mr. Bilek. Titled "Vision," the work was selected through rigorous evaluation and presented as a Chinese national gift. Jin Hongyang's sales reached approximately US $50,000 per livestream, making overseas sales a major channel for her studio. Her work "Mei Shadow" won a Bronze prize at the 4th Chinese Celadon Conference in 2023.
